Donald Trump’s first wife, Ivana Trump, might be writing a book about parenting but she could have also added a chapter on how to start a serious cat fight with your husband’s ex wife.
Promoting her new book, “Raising Trump” out today. Ivana managed to make headlines Monday when answering a question of whether she has a direct line to the White House. The answer is yes. And for the record, she believes she’s the real first lady, not Melania, "I don't really want to call him there because Melania is there, and I don't want to cause any kind of jealousy or something like that," Ivana said, laughing. "Because I'm basically first Trump wife, okay? I'm first lady, okay?"
Plus she claims she talks to her ex every two weeks. This didn't sit well with Melania.
First Lady spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham, said Ivana Trump's comments have "no substance." Grisham stated, “Mrs. Trump has made the White House a home for Barron and the President. She loves living in Washington, DC and is honored by her role as First Lady of the United States. She plans to use her title and role to help children, not sell books."
Bravo might have its latest reality TV show in the waiting with former wives of Trump prepared to take each other to task.
Apparently this is what happens when your president has been married three times.
Similar to her husband, Melania was unable to rise above Ivana’s comments and be the bigger person. After all she is the one with the actual title. Instead, a family feud is now in full swing.
You would think out of respect for her daughter Ivanka, who’s working in the White House, she would have avoided slamming her stepmom. Imagine how awkward Ivanka and Melania’s next run in will be? Considering for the first few months in office political observers claimed Ivanka was taking on the role as First Lady because Melania stayed in New York while her son finished school.
What ever happened to the ladies who assumed the role as First Lady? This sort of behavior must be completely embarrassing to women like Laura Bush who took the role seriously and didn’t feel the need to respond to criticism of people who don’t really matter.
Trump has enough drama. His daughter needs to muzzle her mom.
