Here’s a rosy idea for Valentine’s Day — buy your lady some Ivanka Trump merchandise. Showing your support for a mother of three who has spent more than a decade building a brand that empowers women should be rewarded not ridiculed.
Whether you voted for her father or not, her brand shouldn’t suffer because she won’t disown her dad.
Several months ago when the hashtag #GrabYourWallet started I suggested she distance herself from the presidential campaign to save her business. Liberal women have been using social media to bully companies who sell her lines. So far they have won with several retailers dropping her products.
Clearly I underestimated her devotion to her family and her dedication to women’s causes. Ivanka has chosen her country over her bottom line by stepping away from her role at Ivanka Trump. Obviously she saw a huge opportunity to help America once her dad won the presidency.
Liberals should be celebrating her and her decision to pick country over company because she is their best chance to see any real reform for working moms, equal pay, climate change and education-issues all for which she is advocating.
Ivanka may have voted for her Republican father but she has spent most of her adult life on signature issues near and dear to Democrats. From all accounts, the 35-year-old mom is trying to influence her father in any way she can and she is certainly the most polished of all the Trump kids.
So what do liberal women want to do? Punish her!
Most media outlets will only report that stores are canceling orders of her clothing and jewelry.
Here’s the news they aren’t reporting: Hashtag #BuyIvanka. There are 62.9 million Americans who voted for Trump. It’s no surprise Ivanka has found plenty of support in spite of all of haters online. Here are a few twitter users defending the first daughter:
